- Ma (Mother)
Example sentence: My ma is my beste vriendin. (My mother is my best friend.)
- Pa (Father)
Example sentence: Ek kyk op na my pa. Hy is ‘n inspirasie vir my. (I look up to my father. He is an inspiration to me.)
- Broer (Brother)
Example sentence: Ek en my broer is baie naby en deel baie herinneringe saam. (My brother and I are very close and share many memories together.)
- Suster (Sister)
Example sentence: My suster en ek het ‘n spesiale bande. Ons kan met mekaar praat oor enige iets. (My sister and I have a special bond. We can talk to each other about anything.)
- Seun (Son)
Example sentence: My seun is my trots en vreugde. (My son is my pride and joy.)

- Neef (Cousin)
Example sentence: Ek en my neef speel altyd saam en geniet elka se geselskap. (My cousin and I always play together and enjoy each other’s company.)
- Tannie (Aunt)
Example sentence: My tannie is baie sorgsaam en help altyd wanneer ons haar nodig het. (My aunt is very caring and always helps when we need her.)

Person B: Dit is kosbaar om so ‘n sterk broer-en-suster-verhouding te hê. Jy kan altyd op hom staatmaak. (That’s precious to have such a strong sibling relationship. You can always rely on him.)
