1. Rooi (Red)

   Example sentence: Die rooi rok is pragtig. (The red dress is beautiful.)

2. Blou (Blue)

   Example sentence: Sy het ‘n blou motor. (She has a blue car.)

3. Geel (Yellow)

   Example sentence: Die blomme is geel en vrolik. (The flowers are yellow and cheerful.)

4. Groen (Green)

   Example sentence: Die gras is groen na die reën. (The grass is green after the rain.)

5. Oranje (Orange)

   Example sentence: Die sonsondergang is oranje en pragtig. (The sunset is orange and beautiful.)

6. Pers (Purple)

   Example sentence: Sy het ‘n pers trui aan. (She is wearing a purple sweater.)

7. Swart (Black)

   Example sentence: Die kat is swart en fluweelagtig. (The cat is black and velvety.)

8. Wit (White)

   Example sentence: Die sneeu is wit en skoon. (The snow is white and clean.)

9. Bruin (Brown)

   Example sentence: Ek hou van die bruin meubels in die sitkamer. (I like the brown furniture in the living room.)

10. Pienk (Pink)

    Example sentence: Sy dra ‘n pienk rok vir die partytjie. (She is wearing a pink dress for the party.)

Mini-dialogue:

Person A: Ek is op soek na ‘n nuwe trui. Het jy enige aanbevelings?

(I’m looking for a new sweater. Do you have any recommendations?)

Person B: Absoluut! Wat van ‘n rooi een? Dit sal mooi by jou staan.

(Absolutely! How about a red one? It will look nice on you.)

Person A: Ek het al ‘n rooi trui. Het jy dalk ‘n ander kleur?

(I already have a red sweater. Do you have a different color, perhaps?)

Person B: Wat dink jy van ‘n blou trui? Dit sal jou oë mooi uitlig.

(What do you think of a blue sweater? It will complement your eyes nicely.)

Person A: Ja, ek hou van blou. Het jy ‘n donkerblou of ‘n ligter blou een?

(Yes, I like blue. Do you have a dark blue or a lighter blue one?)

Person B: Ek het beide. Hier is ‘n donkerblou en ‘n ligblou een. Kies maar!

(I have both. Here’s a dark blue and a light blue one. Take your pick!)
